Team Enid unveiled its Fireball Run vehicle at a reception, photo shoot
The Enid team competing in Fireball Run: America’s Frontier next month held a public unveiling of the vehicle they will be driving in the competition during a reception Thursday, August 21 at Wymer Brownlee. There was a great crowd on hand including the Mayor, City Commissioners, sponsors and media. The Enid High cheerleaders and Pom Squad even made an appearance to help unveil the car.
Team Enid is comprised of Dr. David Vanhooser, Enid City Commissioner and Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at Integris Heart & Vascular Institute of Northwest Oklahoma, and Aaron Brownlee, Wymer Brownlee President and Chief Operating Officer. They will be competing in Dr. Vanhooser’s 2009 Aston Martin DBS*, the same car driven by James Bond in the movie, “Casino Royale.” Fireball Run organizers say this will be the first Aston Martin to be driven in the eight-year history of the Fireball Run series.
Along with the public reception and vehicle unveiling, attendees were given special behind-the-scenes access to a photo shoot of Team Enid for E-Town Magazine. Enid photographer Wess Gray was hired to do the photo shoot for its October issue, scheduled to be released a few days before Fireball Run arrives in Enid on September 30. Attendees saw how a professional photographer uses available lighting, props and a creative mind to get the perfect shots.
Fireball Run is the most epic Adventurally in America; a gripping and emotional 8-day, 2,000 mile, life-sized trivia game where America serves as the game board. Enid is the Day 4 stop September 30 during this eighth season of Fireball Run. This year’s theme is America’s Frontier and the route begins in Frisco, Texas on Sept. 27 and ends in Independence, Mo. on Oct. 4. Fireball Run is streamed live to a world-audience through its website, FireballRun.com, and footage captured by the Fireball Run cameras will continue to live on its website.
