ENID, OK – YWCA Enid's youth outreach program, Project Cinderella, proudly enters its seventh year of service, continuing its mission to empower girls in our community. With the opening of shopping season for prom and area school dances, Project Cinderella is on track to reach a significant milestone - assisting its thousandth teen in finding their perfect dress.
Project Cinderella is now open for shoppers through Thursday, April 18th. Appointments are required to visit YWCA’s seasonal shop, ensuring that each girl receives personalized attention during her visit. “We are thrilled to welcome shoppers to Project Cinderella,” said Austin Hazen, YWCA Public Relations Coordinator. “Please book your appointment as soon as possible since shopping days are limited, and spots fill quickly closer to prom. Sign up online at bit.ly/ProjectCinderellaProm or call 580-234-7581.”
Project Cinderella is dedicated to encouraging and inspiring young girls in our community by providing free formal attire, including dresses, jewelry, shoes, and other accessories, to those in need. By removing the barrier of expensive attire, YWCA’s program ensures that every young woman can attend school and community formal events with dignity and confidence. YWCA aims to make these once-in-a-lifetime experiences accessible to all youth, while providing them with a wide variety of trendy dresses and accessories.
As the program relies solely on the generosity of the community, support remains crucial. Donations of formal wear, jewelry, shoes, and other accessories are welcome and deeply appreciated, enabling Project Cinderella to continue its impactful work. Additionally, volunteers are needed to assist shoppers in finding their perfect dress, ensuring a memorable experience for each participant.
