ENID, OK - Xpress Wellness Urgent Care, an Enid based company, opened its tenth urgent care clinic.
-
“We saw a need for more access to medical care services especially in rural areas,” said President Brian Hayden. “We are helping people with non-emergent medical needs seven days a week and with extended hours into the evening.”
-
Xpress Wellness Urgent Care opened its first clinic in Enid in March of 2014. Since then, the company has opened clinics in Elk City, Weatherford, Shawnee, Muskogee, Woodward, Sapulpa, Lawton, Chickasha and Andover, Kansas.
-
According to the Urgent Care Association of America, only about ten percent of urgent care operators in the nation have more than three clinics.
-
“We wanted to open Xpress Wellness Urgent Care because of the new changes in healthcare with the Affordable Care Act and to increase people's accessibility and availability to services,” said Chief Medical Officer Dr. Scott Williams. “We’re here to invest in the lives of the patients and the people in each community.  If you’re traveling for work or pleasure and find yourself in need of medical care, you will find the same exceptional medical services at any of our clinics.”
-
Xpress Wellness Urgent Care provides urgent care center, occupational medicine, and primary care services that treats non-life threatening illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis; no appointment is needed. Each center is equipped with six private exam rooms, a triage room and a procedure room. The center has computerized radiology services, lab services, diagnostic testing and EKG onsite.
-
The urgent care centers offer comprehensive medical care services for adults and children, including care for common illnesses, sprains, strains, lacerations, flu, allergies, infections, sports physicals, wellness exams, chronic disease management, preventative care services and more. It also offers Medical services for employers which include pre-employment physicals, DOT physicals, pulmonary function tests, drug testing, and treatment for work-related injuries.
-
Xpress Wellness Urgent Care is open 7 days a week with extended hours.
-
“An added benefit for our patients is the ability to choose their visit time based on when it works best for them and their schedule through a new system, Xpress Check-in. Patients can choose their visit time before they pick up their sick child, while they are at the office or at home,” said Hayden.  “We understand minimal clinic waiting time is important and Xpress Check-in is a great time saver for our patients.”
