Each local Work Ready Center has been tailored to the community they’re in, offering personalized services to job seekers and building strong partnerships with local businesses. This dual approach not only helps individuals find meaningful employment but also supports businesses in finding the skilled workers they need.
Powered by Oklahoma Human Services, Work Ready Oklahoma focuses on empowering Oklahomans towards self-sufficiency through targeted job preparedness and skill-building workshops. Participants start their journey at one of their 21 statewide centers, receiving foundational job training and skill development. After completing this initial phase, they help connect job seekers to CareerTech and other educational institutions, where they can pursue further specialized training that aligns with their career aspirations.
Dedicated coaches guide each participant through personalized goal-setting and job matching, ensuring a path to stable and fulfilling careers. This program is central to the Work Ready mission of enhancing the workforce and reducing reliance on government assistance by promoting independence with robust, community-based support.

Here’s how they do it:
Workshops: The Work Ready job preparedness workshops cover everything from crafting standout resumes to acing job interviews and demonstrating your teamwork skills to potential employers.
Job Leads: They connect you with employer partners who are eager to hire our graduates, offering access to a diverse range of jobs that average $15 per hour, including benefits.
Coaching: During and after you complete our workshop, you can receive personalized coaching and support to help you transition confidently into your new role and maintain employment.
Job Fairs: Attend job fairs to meet top employers and discover various job opportunities, both local and remote, in one convenient location.
Training: They collaborate with community colleges, career techs and nonprofits to provide free training, making sure you have multiple paths to advance your skills.
Connections: Join an inclusive community of fellow job seekers and benefit from mutual learning and support. Their coaches and staff are committed to seeing you succeed.
