The funeral service for Wilma O’Quinn, age 96, will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lesly Broadbent officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Wilma was born to Lawrence and Josephine (Oaks) Tarrant on June 29, 1920, in Jet, and passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016, in Enid.
Wilma graduated from high school and then attended NWOSU in Alva, earning a Bachelor Degree in Education. In 1940, Wilma married Ross O’Quinn. She was a mother and teacher, and enjoyed traveling. Wilma was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Yvonne Hedman of Arvada, Colorado; two sons, Michael O’Quinn of Wichita, Kansas, and Robert O’Quinn and wife Elaine of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister June Weston of North Carolina.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Ross, and son John.
