Celebration of Life Service for Bill Ward will be Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Alan Seibel officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
William was born on May 27, 1953 in Enid to W.W. and Helen Parker Ward and died on February 14, 2022 at his home in Enid.
He graduated from Enid High School in 1971 and then joined the U.S. Army in 1971. Following his discharge in 1979, Bill went to work for the U.S. Postal Service. He worked there from 1983 until 1996, when he became a car salesman for several dealerships in Enid. Bill graduated with honors from Northern Oklahoma College with an associate degree in music. He gave vocal, saxophone and flute lessons for several years to many students. Bill enjoyed writing music for his students and the community band. He played with the community band. Bill later worked as a nurse’s aide at Bass Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Cryer; daughters, Diana (Ryan) Hamilton of Waukomis and Amber (Joshua) Abbey of Lahoma; grandchildren, Matthew Abbey, Ethan Hamilton, Joshua and Natalie Abbey, Brooklyn Hamilton; other relatives and friends.
