ENID, OK - Walker’s Western Store is making some big improvements to downtown Enid, Oklahoma. The new Enid location is at 128 W. Randolph in the former C.M. Miller building on Randolph. Many local residents also remember the building being home to S&Q Clothiers.
Wade and Jana Walker have renovated and restored historic elements of the building. One of the largest tasks was the removing of the brick facade that covered the front of the store. Once exposed it was apparent that there were two completely different looking fronts underneath with four windows bricked-in or removed.
Klemme Construction along with the help of Allen Masonry were able to build-in four windows that match the original style of the buildings in the area. Major renovations also took place inside the building.
The Walker's revitalized several old buildings in downtown Woodward opening Walker’s Western Store, Walker Mercantile Co. and a few other businesses. They felt there was a similar need and opportunity in downtown Enid.
The Walker's hosted a ribbon cutting for the store on Thursday, September 14 with a large local turnout. They celebrated with food, snacks and complimentary beverages from another local neighbor, Settlers Brewing Co. The Enid Chamber of Commerce was there to help cut the ribbon.
Regular hours start Friday, September 15th and Saturday, September 16th from 9:00am to 6:00pm!
Walker’s Western Store carries a wide variety of products, with a good selection made in Oklahoma. Items include boots, hats, clothing, purses, jewelry, belts, fragrances and more.
The first Walker’s Western Store was opened November 2022 in downtown Woodward, Oklahoma. The second location will open September 2023 in Enid, Oklahoma.

The Walker ranch is most notably known for the historic Chimney Rock that was located just outside of Freedom, Oklahoma standing nearly 400 feet tall at one time. This structure is what inspired the logo that you see today for Walker’s Western Store. The structure toppled on March 13, 1973 or was officially recorded on that date.
In 1991 my wife and I travelled from England to enjoy the first of two holidays of a life time we spent in Enid. During our stay we visited a shop whose owner I remember was the spitting image of Wild Bill Cody Buffalo Bill. The walls of the shop were lined with old press cuttings which harked back to the days of the wild-west. That was so long ago now that I forget the name of the shop and wondered if it was the shop which you have since modernised. I am 92 and producing a scrapbook of my life, and I would very much appreciate it if you could help my fading memory with any information on the shop I remember.
With very best wishes
