The services celebrating and honoring the life of Virginia Holloway Rogers, 87, of Enid will be held 10 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2022, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Craig Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Virginia was born September 15, 1934, to Alta D. and Gertrude A. White Holloway in Brinkley, Arkansas, and passed from this life August 3, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in Des Arc, Arkansas, graduating from Des Arc High School. She married Charles Rogers January 14, 1953, in Des Arc, Arkansas, and from this union came four children. The family moved several places following her husband’s career. During this time, she raised her children and helped her husband by managing his office from time to time. After her children were grown, she later worked as a Quality Control Inspector at ACCO in Des Arc for several years. In 1988 the couple moved to Enid, where they owned and operated a rental property business. She was a dedicated member of the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and loved going to church. She always had a meal ready for everyone and enjoyed going out to eat with friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Goodman and Judy Craparotta and husband Gerald, all of Enid; one son, David Rogers and wife Roxanne, of Ardmore; ten grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Rogers and one daughter Linda Hickerson.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church Missions Fund, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
