Funeral service to celebrate the life of Virginia “Cisi” Canady, 76, of Enid, will be 1:00 PM, Friday, June 23, 2017, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Cisi was born to James Andrew and Coral Nell (Snyder) Bateman, on October 4, 1940 in Enid, and passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017, in Enid.

Cisi grew up in Garber. She married Elzner “Bob” Yates in 1958, They made their home in Enid, and had 3 children. She later married George H. Canady in 1974, and they raised their five children Lyn, Carolynn, Mona, Gina and Gigi together. On November 5, 1986 she received her cosmetology license, and she owned her own beauty shop for several years.

Cisi is survived by her children Carolynn Frye (Bob), Gina Bush (Roland), , of Enid, Gigi Moore, of Fairview, and Lyn Canady (Wanda Kay) of Perry; 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Mirisa, Kaylynne, Mark, Matthew, Andrew, Hayleigh, Cobe, Harley, and Samuel; 5 great grandchildren, Bradan, Jordan, Aubrianna, Everett, and Jax; sisters JoAnn Best, Martha Fisher, both of Enid; and Sharon Miller (Alan) of Garber; and her brother Paul Wayne Bateman (Betty) of Garber.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, daughter Mona, and grandson Mark.
