Vickie Lee Lockwood passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2018. Vickie was born on June 19, 1952 in Ponca City to Norman and Wilma (Sullins) Condit.

Vickie graduated from Red Rock high school in 1971. Later that year she married her high school sweetheart, James Lockwood, eventually relocating to Newkirk. They had four children; Jamie, Jessica, Jeremy and Joshua (Ty). Vickie was involved in many of her children’s activities when they were growing up such as 4-H, Camp Fire, Boy Scouts and FFA. She was an active member of Newkirk Range Riders for many years and enjoyed helping put on the local Rodeo. She was very artistic and gifted at quilting and crochet. Her favorite job was being a grandmother.

She is survived by her husband James; her children, Jamie and Alan Phillips, Jessica Lockwood, Jeremy Lockwood, and Ty and Jill Lockwood; her grandchildren Kelly, Haley, Taylor, Ryan, Shelby, Dallas, Mikey, Dakota, Teagan, Zander, and Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Newkirk on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Susan Rice officiating. Committal prayers and interment will be held privately after the service in Newkirk Cemetery under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service, Enid. Casket bearers are Larry Colson, Aaron (Mongo) Kreger, Paul Lambring, Kenny Lay, David Lockwood, John Lockwood, Lance Lockwood, and Randy Myers.
