ENID, OK - United Way of Northwest Oklahoma has announced an exciting new program to identify, cultivate, and deploy a new generation of volunteers, board members, and philanthropists. The NextGen Fellowship seeks young, community-minded, business professionals interested in learning about the United Way, the partner agencies, and the impacts of its mission-based work in Northwest Oklahoma.
“We are looking for the next generation of leaders who will become our next board members, nonprofit leaders, and community problem solvers. This one-year fellowship will be an eye-opening journey for those accepted,” said Dan Schiedel, Executive Director of United Way of Northwest Oklahoma. “We hope we can harness the talents and skillsets of this next generation to create lasting change in our communities.”
Fellows will attend six meetings and those completing the Fellowship will be recognized at the Annual meeting in April. All sessions will be held in the evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pheasant Run, except for the Pillars Dinner and Annual Meeting.
Before program completion, all fellows must complete a one-on-one mentorship at a Partner Agency of their choosing. Optional volunteer opportunities with United Way and partner agencies will be offered throughout the program.
The application can be found at www.unitedwayenid.org. The deadline is Friday, July 26, 2024.
