ENID, OK - Tyson Foods teamed up with local non-profit network RSVP of Enid to distribute more than 20,000 pounds of variety product to 30 non-profit participating organizations, including three homeless shelters.
Team members from Tyson Foods’ Enid facility volunteered to distribute approximately 83,600 servings* of protein on June 16. Tyson Foods has provided monthly donations to local non-profits in partnership with RSVP for over two years — totaling approximately 100,000 pounds in 2023 alone. The facility plans to continue donation efforts later this summer, with the next donation tentatively scheduled for August.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with RSVP of Enid this summer to help provide nutritious, accessible food to those in need,” said Phillip Kenedy, Tyson Foods’ Enid Campus chaplain. “We hope to continue this partnership by giving back to the community we call home.”
Tyson Foods has a longstanding relationship with RSVP of Enid, partnering with the organization to support hunger relief efforts in Enid and the surrounding areas. The organization serves 36 counties in Oklahoma, collaborating with a network of other non-profits and agencies to create a whole-care program specifically for 1,000-plus seniors per month.
*Tyson Foods estimates, one pound of protein is equal to four servings of protein.
