A Celebration of Life Service for Tyler Swinea, age 35 of Oklahoma City will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Emmanuel Enid with Rev. Adrian Pollard and Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Tyler was born March 21, 1986 in Cushing, OK to Clifton W. Swinea and Jonnie Thomas and passed away May 8, 2021 in Oklahoma City. He attended and graduated in 2004 from Cimmaron Schools in Lahoma. He attended Northern Oklahoma College and received his Bachelor of Psychology degree from University of Central Oklahoma, Masters Degree in Geology from Oklahoma State University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma University. He worked for Chesapeake Energy as a Geologist for the past 8 years. Tyler married Annie Schwandt on June 15, 2019 in Oklahoma City. Tyler loved to travel. He planned a trip to Kaui, Hawaii and proposed on the beach. The couple travelled to South Korea for their honeymoon. Tyler enjoyed playing video games, all animals, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed to playing golf and watching O. U. sports.
Tyler is survived by his wife Annie, mother Jonnie and Randy Bacher, father Clifton and wife Jackie Sue Swinea, brother Tanner Swinea and significant other Barbie Roye, nephew Gabriel"Gabe" Swinea, and other family members; Phyllis and Keith Duncan, Kami and Jay Moore, Kye and Melanie Duncan, Pam and Randy Scott, Jennifer and husband J.T. Harper, David and wife Summer Scott, Keith and Jimalou Schwandt, Lance Schwandt, Kevin and wife Kami Schwandt, Jennifer Schwandt, 5 nieces and 4 nephews. Also surviving are the couple’s pets Dexter-dog and Daisy Cat, many friends and associates of Chesapeake Energy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Faye Swinea and Lowell and Betty Thomas.
Memorials may be made to the Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
