ENID, Okla. (June 19, 2018) — For the second year in a row, Groendyke Transport awarded two recipients for the Jonathan Luevano Memorial Scholarship. This year’s recipients are Gabrielle Parrish, of Jacksonville, N.C., and Jacy Stroud, of Sweeny, Texas.

The scholarship honors the memory of Jonathan Luevano, a young driver at Groendyke’s Fort Worth terminal who was shot and killed on May 7, 2015 while delivering fuel to a local convenience store. To keep Jonathan’s memory and giving spirit alive, the tank trucking company started the scholarship for children and grandchildren of its employees.
