ENID, OK - "True North" is the theme of the 2017 Oklahoma Arts Conference, set to take place in Enid, October 25-26 with preconference activities scheduled October 24. The theme highlights how the conference will help artists, organizations, and communities discover where the arts are headed in meeting important needs across society in the 21st century. During the conference, attendees will learn how they can align their principles, goals, and activities with the trajectory of the arts industry to ensure the maximum relevance of their work.

Each year, the Oklahoma Arts Council organizes the statewide Oklahoma Arts Conference to bring together the state's arts and cultural industry. The conference provides professional development and networking opportunities for arts managers and organizations, artists, community and economic development professionals, students, educators, and others working in the arts and cultural industry in Oklahoma.

Join photographer, Mike Klemme, at his Enid studio to learn artistic techniques for high quality composition in professional and commercial photography. Klemme will share tricks of the trade and help class members develop and refine skills such as paying attention to detail and capturing the aesthetic vision through a photograph. The registration fee for this workshop is $10 per person. Availability is limited, and this workshop is offered on a first-come first-served basis. The workshop will be Tuesday, Ocotber 24 from 2:00pm to 4:30pm at Mike Klemme Photogrpahy. Learn more at art.ok.gov.
