ENID, OK - Celebrating 91 years of the Tri-State Music Festival in the 2023-2024 school year, the festival board is excited to bring the marching band parade back to Downtown Enid. Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 10:00am twenty bands will be participating in the parade. The following is a list of participating schools: Kremlin-Hillsdale Middle School, Emerson/Longfellow Middle School, Chisholm Middle School, Waller Middle School, Waukomis High School, Laverne High School, Kremlin-Hillsdale High School, Seiling High School, Alva High School, Hennessey High School, Fairview High School, Watonga High School, Chisholm High School, Stilwell High School, and Enid High Band.
The field show competition will begin at 1:30pm with fifteen bands and will be held at D. Bruce Selby Stadium. An awards presentation will follow the field show competition. Judges for the event are Dr. Eric Pennello from the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Jeff Hastings from Altus High School, and Mr. Jeff McReynolds from Deer Creek-Lamont High School.
In addition to the marching competition, there will be a pre-district band contest February 13-14, 2024 and the spring festival will be May 1-3, 2024. As music education is ever changing, Tri-State Music Festival has had to evolve as well to better accommodate the students, teachers, and curriculum.
