ENID, OK - It was a banner year for Enid Buzz as far as big stories and increases in social media engagement. Our Facebook Page continues to be the platform with the highest amount of engagement and drives many of the stories we write and post.

#15 - Breaking News Story About A Shooting - There was a shooting near 1400 E. Park. Reports were 2 dead, 1 critical. The suspect was in custody. This post had lots of comments. causing it to go viral.

#14 - Michelle Malkin Video - Malkin was in Enid to promote her Internet show and her in depth investigation into the Daniel Holtzclaw case. The video was from her Q&A where Holtzclaw happened to be dialed in and spoke to the audience live.

#13 - Comet Go-Carts Closes Story - An Enid institution closed up shop after entertaining kids and adults for decades. The family owned Comet Go-Cart course was closing the doors and selling off all of the equipment.

#12 - Pokemon Alert Photo - We were hearing that there was a large group of searchers gathered on the courthouse lawn chasing Pokemon characters. Fellow radio personality Clepper In The Morning was one of them and sent the photo. The fad didn't last long.

#11 - Mumps Health Alert - Enid Public Schools announced that the Garfield County Health Department had confirmed multiple cases of mumps in our community, including at Longfellow Middle School and Enid High School.

#10 - Academy, Ulta & Maurices Coming To Enid Story - The old Walmart was being demolished to make room for a new retail area on W. Garriott. We made the announcement of the new stores that were coming to town. Enid loves stories about new retail!

Every hit now includes multiple photos being uploaded to Facebook only moments after the hit. Every photo that we've posted has done very well on reach so we are not going to include all of them.

#3 - Storm Cloud Photo - While walking the trail behind Lowe's I noticed a storm cloud forming. I continued to snap photos as it grew until it became a thunderstorm. It was a very small isolated storm but a very impressive cloud especially from where I was standing.

#2 - Truck Hits Maine Street Bridge Video - The Maine Street Bridge in Enid has been getting struck by trucks for decades. As quickly as a truck strikes the bridge someone snaps a photos and sends it to EB. It was a huge snag for someone to actually be shooting a video as a truck hit the bridge. This post did not reach the most folks but did have the most views and reactions. Many people were upset and thought the person filming the crash should have tried to stop the truck.

#1 - Little Boy Skittles Video - I personally didn't think anything was going to beat the truck hitting the Maine Street Bridge video but this simple video blew everything away. I saw it randomly on Facebook and decided to download it and then upload it to the EB Facebook Page. Just short of a million reach is mind boggling. After it went viral the creator of the video contacted me. His name is Sergei and this is his Facebook Page. Something as simple as a Skittles rainbow can reach lots of folks.
