Timmy Ray Ratzlaff was born May 16, 1959 and died fighting a courageous battle with COPD on May 31, 2021. He was born in Burlington, Colorado to Donna Mae and Ralph Benjamin Ratzlaff. They moved around a lot when Tim and his siblings were smaller, but eventually settled in Enid, OK. Tim had many jobs throughout his life, but his passion was building custom cabinets. That was where it was at and when he started his own business in 2007, he was in heaven! He did love moonlighting for his buddy Stanley Nevitt. Driving that KW was just in his blood!
Tim was a hoot! Everywhere he went, he ran into friends he’d made along the way. It sorta became a joke after a while and trust me… if he was talking to them…you didn’t honk the truck horn. Lol. Sometimes it even got him into hot water. We will save that story for another time. Lol. He was a race car driver, a Huge Elvis fan, the best dad and papa around, he loved to laugh, tease and joke with everyone! I seriously hope he knew how much everyone loved him. He had the biggest heart! Everyone he met lived there!
He had a way with the ladies as we all know. He loved three of them with all of his heart. He married Diana Dance in Enid in 1977 and had two beautiful children with her, Christina Dawn Ratzlaff-Cantrell and Marc Ray Ratzlaff. He married Pam Moore in Eureka Spring in 1995 and added another beautiful child to the pit crew, Eric Ray (Ratzlaff) Moore. He saved the meanest one for the last. Lol! He married Brigette Johnson July 7, 2001 in 104 degree temps. That should have been a red flag. HA!
Tim is survived by his wife, Brigette of the their home in Coweta, Oklahoma; children, Christina (Brian) Cantrell, Marc (Kelly) Ratzlaff, Eric (Sabrina) Moore; grandchildren, Haley (Michael) Cantrell, Elijah (Kalee) Frazee, Kylee (Brandon)Frazee, Bowdie (Jayden) Cantrell, Collin Fowler and Macy Moore; great grandchildren, Carlie and Adeline Scannell; Mother, Donna Ratzlaff; Mom and Pop#2, Jim and Vicky(Rose) Owens; father-in-law, Gary Horn; brothers, Marvin (Kimberly) Ratzlaff, Michael (Lisa) Ratzlaff, Tony Ratzlaff, Rick Ratzlaff; sister, Margie (Brian) Farabee; several nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Ralph Ratzlaff; brother Tommy Ratzlaff; and his grandparents.
I’m going to miss you honey. More than you will ever know! I got this down here…go love on your daddy and have fun racing through them pearly gates with Jr. I love you always and forever! “Yes Dear”
