ROUND ROCK, TX - Three Enid boys made Team Oklahoma, a youth football team, this year. Team Oklahoma recently competed in the Texas Youth Football All Star Showcase Tournament in Round Rock, Texas.

Players from Enid included Blake Thompson(11U) from Waller, Cashton Mathis(10U) from Glenwood, and Kaiden Gonzalez(11U) from Longfellow. Team Oklahoma brought back the trophy in 10U!

Team Oklahoma beat North Louisiana 6-0 and Rio Grand Valley (RGV) 28-0. They played El Paso for the 10U championship.

The tournament is sponsored by BATTLE and it pits the best football players in the states of TX, OK, LA, AR, & Gulf Coast. This is the first time for Oklahoma to participate. These three boys were proud to represent Oklahoma, Enid, & the Plainsmen.

The Texas Youth Football All Star Showcase is the biggest youth football tournament in the country for kids ages 7U-12U. 21 regions from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Arizona meet to compete and showcase the best talent from each region. Scouts, recruiters, national and state magazines are on hand to see the talent.
