A private family burial for Thomas Lee Druse, 87 of Enid, will be at a later date in Marion, Kansas.
Thomas was born May 6, 1936, in Marion, Kansas, the third son of Charles and Palma Young Druse, and passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in Enid. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
He graduated from high school in Marion, worked in the oil field and eventually joined the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He married Claudette Kay Hodges from Florence, Kansas and they lived the Army life adding three children along the way. Thomas retired in 1977 and moved the family to Enid, Oklahoma. He worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier until retiring in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. Later, when his body prohibited him from these activities, he enjoyed going to the casino.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Jim, Bob and Don, his wife; Claudette, son; Tom and daughter; Christy May Druse. He is survived by a brother; Ron, sister-in-law; Karen, son; Richard, five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
