Celebration of life service for Theodore Phillip Rogers, 87, of Enid, will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Lowry officiating. Burial will follow in Hennessey Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 5:00-6:00 Wednesday evening at Anderson-Burris.

Theodore was born August 28, 1932 in Mendota, Illinois to Ambrose and Zaida (Nighswonger) Rogers and passed away on Saturday October 19, 2019 in Enid.

Theodore grew up in Enid and after high school he served in the United States Army, during the Korean War. On July 2, 1954 he married Peggy Ann Choate in Wichita Falls, Texas. He then served in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. After his discharge they moved back to Enid and in 1958 he began his career with the United States Postal Service. He retired in 1986, when he started working for Scheffee Home Health setting up beds and oxygen.

He is survived by his daughters Debbie Ragan and husband Richard, Enid, and Sherry Smith and husband Tony of Phoenix, Arizona; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; two sisters Jean Choate and Terry Rogers.

Theodore was preceded in death by his loving wife Peggy of 64 years, his son Theodore Phillip Rogers, Jr, and granddaughter Amy Dawn Ragan.
