ENID, OK - The Modern Thread got started out of pure quarantine boredom! Whitney McClure was originally going to open a women’s boutique but then with losing Dillard’s and Penney’s and really having nowhere for men to shop, decided to add men’s clothing too!
McClure and her husband came up with the name. They had about three different names before they landed on the Modern Thread. McClure had registered an LLC under Chic Boutique but that name was already taken so it was declined. That was their sign!
They like to think the Modern Thread has a little something for everyone and McClure wants shoppers to leave feeling great about what they’ve purchased! The Modern Thread will always strive to provide the best customer service it can and an amazing shopping experience!
