Terry Leon Boswell

center-149x195-TerryA Celebration of Life for Terry L. Boswell, age 76 years, of Tulsa, is 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 S. Memorial Drive, with Oklahoma City Fire Department Chaplain Ted G. Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Stanley’s Funeral Home,3959 E. 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, Enid, Oklahoma.

Terry was born May 29, 1940 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Elmo and Geraldine (Leckey) Boswell, and passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Midwest City, Oklahoma with his loving family at his side.

Terry graduated from Field-Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas with the class of 1958. Following high school, he joined the United States Army and served his country for the next three years. He married Kay Mayfield on November 9, 1962 and they made their home in Coffeyville before finally settling in Tulsa in 1965. Terry worked for Murdock Tank and Borne Energy before starting his own business making pallets in the garage of their home. That home business grew into Bosco Services, Inc., which eventually grew into Central Export Packing, Inc. with locations in Tulsa and Houston, Texas. Terry expanded his interests to include a sawmill in Collinsville, Oklahoma, Peoria Office Park in Tulsa, and Tulsa Machine works before finally retiring. Terry was passionate about his work, he dedicated much time and effort to making any project or idea he became involved with successful, and took great pride in his accomplishments. He also enjoyed fine cars, especially Mercedez Benz. Terry was a member of the Elks Lodge, and a volunteer for Singles Available for Community Service (SACS), and Celebrate Nostalgic Coffeyville, a philanthropic organization for the revitalization of Coffeyville, Kansas, his home town.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Geraldine Boswell-Vail, step-father, Raymond Vail, brother Ronnie Boswell and sister, Marilyn Beaver.

He is survived by three daughters that he adored, Jeanette Westlund and husband Albert, of Owasso, Oklahoma; Kristi Weathers and husband Jeff, of Blanchard, Oklahoma; Linda Vieyra of Coffeyville, Kansas, former spouse, Kay Boswell, of Blanchard, Oklahoma; brother Wayne Boswell, of Bolivar, Missouri; as well as nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Memorials in Terry’s name may be made to Cavett Kids Foundation, The Ronald McDonald House of Oklahoma, or the Epilepsy Foundation of Oklahoma with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, Enid, Oklahoma, serving as custodian of the funds.
