Teresa Irene Barnett, 67, Enid resident, was born on December 12, 1950 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, the daughter of Bill and Gwendolyn Sample Carson, and passed away suddenly on April 18, 2018 at her residence.

She was the oldest of three children and graduated Woodward High School in 1969. That same year, she found out she had a baby girl due in July of the next year. She was married to Jim Wilson for a few years. After this marriage dissolved, she met the man who would be her second husband, Mike Barnett. They got pregnant with a baby boy in 1976 and he was born the following March. In or around 1982 this marriage dissolved. Some of her favorite times were spent hanging out with friends and family, having cookouts, playing pool and camping whenever she could. She took her kids camping often and taught them all the ins and outs.

She worked a variety of jobs; to include storm window installer/repairer, painter, cna, house manager, cashier and a few others. She loved working with people. And if you knew her at all, you already know she loved cats! Even volunteered with the SPCA. She had a very caring heart for those she held dear. She leaves behind her son and daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother and his wife and family, a sister and her family and many others who’ll miss her dearly. Hold on to those good memories! That’s why they happened!
