ENID, OK - August 2, 2017 - Learn how storytelling and collaboration translates to increasing a community’s tourism efforts during the 2017 Red Carpet Country annual Tourism Conference on August 22 at the Central National Bank Center in Enid.

The theme for the 2017 conference is “Telling Your Story.” Speakers include Jack Quirk, founder and CEO of KJ Filmworks in Hennessey; Kathy Dickson, Director of Museums and Historic Sites for the Oklahoma Historical Society; Jeanette Nance, Executive Director of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful and Stacy Cramer Moore, Executive Director of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center in Duncan. A representative from the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department will also speak on how to use OTRD resources to calibrate your messaging and maximize your audience, while Rick and Larry Simpson of Skeleton Creek Productions in Enid will be the lunch speakers.

Red Carpet Country is one of six regional tourism organizations in Oklahoma as divided by the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, representing 16 counties in the Northwest and North-Central part of the state. The association is the leading source of travel information for this distinct region of Oklahoma boasting friendly communities, unique events and abundant natural resources.

The conference begins at 8 am with registration and a light breakfast and will end by 3 pm. Registration is $50 for RCC members and $75 for non-members and includes lunch. Door prizes from Red Carpet Country members will be given away throughout the day and display and sponsorship packages are still available.
