ENID, OK - Enid Public Schools announced the 2017-18 Teacher of the Year and Support Professional of the Year at the Education Celebration on Wednesday. The event took place at Prairie View Elementary.

Shae Pulis, 4th grade teacher at McKinley Elementary, won Teacher of the Year. Teresa Thatcher, secretary at Enid High School, was selected Support Professional of the Year.

“We are pleased to celebrate these teachers and the difference they make each and every day for their students,” Superintendent Dr. Darrell Floyd said. “They exemplify the qualities of a highly effective and caring educator, and they are excellent ambassadors for their schools, for this district and for our profession.”

The honorees were selected by their colleagues while the Teacher of the Year was selected by a community committee. Pulis will now represent the district at the Oklahoma Teacher of the Year competition next fall.

Andrea Curry Science - Emerson Middle
Kendon Mulanax Social Studies - Longfellow Middle
