Mass of Christian Burial for Suzie Mitten, 69 of Enid, will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 14, 2017, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with Rev Joseph Irwin and Rev Mark Mason as celebrants, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00 PM, Wednesday evening at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Suzie was born to William and Mary “Mimi” Waltz, on February 9, 1948, in Parsons, Kansas, and passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Enid.

Suzie grew up in Enid, graduated from Enid Memorial High School, and attended Phillips University. On July 16, 1968, she married Wayne Mitten and they made their home in Enid. Suzie worked for the Salvation Army as a caseworker and secretary, and for Southwest Truck Parts as a bookkeeper. Suzie was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, and taught RE for 25 years. She was a member of the Alter Society, was a Council Woman at St. Gregory, and attended bible study.

She is survived by her husband Wayne; 2 children Katherine Miles of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Raymond and Sheweta Mitten of Bartlesville; her mother Mimi Collar of Enid; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers Bill and Sandy Waltz of Enid, and Bob and Brenda Waltz of Gulf Port, Mississippi; several nieces and nephews.

Suzie is preceded in death by her father William.
