The memorial service for Sue Beatrice Nance, 77 year-old Enid resident will be Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 1:00PM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Matt Perkins will officiate. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Karoma Cemetery.

Sue was born June 8, 1940 in San Diego, California and died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in Enid. She was adopted by Cecil and Laura Whitman. She graduated from Goltry High School in 1959. On November 14, 1958 she married John “Bill” Nance in Enid where the couple made their home. She worked for Enid State School(NORCE) for over 22 years retiring in 1992.

She was a member of United Church of Christ in Goltry. Her family was her joy and she loved spending time with them.

She is survived by her son Johnny Nance and wife Charlotte, Daughters; Barbara Chase and husband Randy, Margie Nance, and Karen and Art Livingston. Grandchildren; Mitchell, Kerri, Laura Marie, Kayla, Kevin, William, and John. Great-grandchildren; Matthew, Jozlin, Benjamin, Brooklynn, Billy, Duane, and Gavin. Two sisters, Sue Carter and Deanna Noland, one sister-in-law Pearl S. Frazier, Curtis Garner and numerous other family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, one daughter Rebecca, two-great-grandsons, Braxton and Zayden Garner, one brother, one sister, and her beloved pug “Buddy”.
