3584350Funeral services for Stephan Dwight Hoeltzel will be 11:00am Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Kenneth Wade will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be 5-7pm Friday, February 5, 2016 at the funeral home.

Stephen was born April 29, 1942 in Enid to Walter Henry and Ladie June (White) Hoeltzel and passed away February 1, 2016 in Enid. He grew up on the homesteads in Glenella and Meno and attended schools in Freehome, Meno, and Ringwood. In 1960, he graduated high school in Ringwood.

On November 17, 1963, he married Lauretta Gail Dietz in the Aline Christian Church. Stephan and Gail moved to Enid where they had three children, John Eric, Anthony Wayne, and Patricia Dawn.

Stephan worked at Firestone for 25 plus years, followed by T&W for a number of years before retiring in 2009.

He liked to fish, enjoyed driving racecars but especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was very important to him. Stephan’s greatest highlight was watching all three of his children race together.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gail; parents; son, Anthony Wayne Hoeltzel; grandson, Stephan Tyler Hoeltzel; sister, Marylin Mills; and brothers, David and Sheridan Hoeltzel.

Stephan is survived by son, John Hoeltzel and wife, Jamie of Enid; daughter, Patricia Crabtree and husband, Jeff of Katy, TX; six grandchildren, Austin Crabtree; Alexandra Crabtree and Madison Crabtree, all of Katy, TX; Destiny Hoeltzel; Dusti Hoeltzel and Branden Hoeltzel Spady, all of Enid; four great-grandchildren, Bentley Wickersham of Enid; Mason Crabtree of Katy, TX; Elliana Spady and Tyler Spady, both of Enid; five sisters, Sandra Crabtree; Charlotte Lieswald; Rebekah Stevens; Kimberli Groom and Debbra Stevens-Chattam, all of Enid; brother, Mark Hoeltzel of Enid as well as numerous extended family.

Memorial donations can be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran School with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodians of the fund.
