Step Up!! Speed & Agility Training

This January, Trey Powell, owner and trainer of STEP UP Training Systems is launching weekly classes designed for entry-level athletes to improve balance, coordination, flexibility, footwork, quickness, and other basic skills to better prepare them for organized sports.  The program, is available for two age groups (New Recruits 1st-3rd grade, and Red Shirts 4th-6th grade) and will run from January through April.

In 2015, Powell trained a number of young athletes ranging from age 9 to college age, and all showed significant improvements in speed, strength, agility, quickness, and in overall contribution to their team’s success.  STEP UP works with all sports, although the bulk of his clients have been football, volleyball and track/field.  Powell recently spent time with the strength and conditioning coaching staff at Oklahoma State University leaning first-hand how speed & agility is being taught at the collegiate level, in order to better equip athletes in Enid, and has already confirmed plans to join OSU again in 2016 for spring training.
