ENID, OK - Many area school officials, staff and parents made their voices heard on Monday night as they joined State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister at a town hall meeting at Enid High School. Hofmeister was in Enid to hear our thoughts on how to strengthen public education and how to shape the future of education in Oklahoma.

The Enid meeting was the fifth in a series of one-hour town halls enabling the Oklahoma State Department of Education to gather input for a comprehensive state plan to improve academic performance for all students and reduce barriers that hold many kids back. Around 75 people attended this town hall. Future town hall stops are planned for Yukon and Muskogee.

Dr. Darrell Floyd, superintendent of Enid Public Schools, joined Hofmeister on Monday in the EHS food court. This event was open to the public but many were unable to attend. Enid Buzz live streamed the event on Facebook and the EPS media department streamed it as well. You can view my recorded stream below and should be able to see a replay on the Enid Public School channel.
