ENID, OK - AllStar Cheerleading Worlds that is! This senior team, made up of 11 senior level all-star athletes from Spirit Express Cheer and Tumbling Academy, were one of 400 total teams to compete for The AllStar Worlds Championships in Orlando, Florida.
This team competed a perfect, no deduction routine on Day one which won them one of ten spots to compete again in the finals. This team and their coaches approached day two of the event with excitement and ended the event as a Top Five finisher! Even though Spirit Express has been competing with teams in Enid since 2004, this AllStar Worlds appearance AND Top Five finish was the first for the program.
Athletes from Enid and several surrounding towns are represented on this team! They come from many different schools, but come together to form a team that works together as one and has become a family forever. This past year these athletes had to overcome so many obstacles (quarantines, injuries, snow and ice closures, and sicknesses). These obstacles did not stop them! They pulled together even more and pushed themselves to be better because of it!
Enid should be so proud of these youth, not only on the Vipers, but all of the Spirit Express teams. These young athletes and their families have pulled together during a crazy year and represented Enid at ALL of their competitions this year.
Spirit Express is located in Enid and has been a successful Cheer and Tumbling gym since 2004. Owners and head coaches are Missy and Josh Quintero.
