Whether you're coming to Southard House for a romantic getaway, to celebrate one of life's special moments, or on business, you will find a relaxing, sumptuous retreat in one of their four luxuriously appointed guest suites.
James and Tammy Neal invite you to relax in their parlor, browse their boutique for unique food, craft and gift items, indulge in a complimentary afternoon snack and evening dessert, and wake up every day to a full gourmet breakfast.
To make your stay with them special and pleasurable, they have prepared a menu of delicious breakfast entrees for your enjoyment. Breakfast is served from 8:00-9:30am and they can either serve you in your guest room or in their beautiful dining room at your request.
Their boutique grew out of Tammy’s passion for creating beautiful things. She has been creating hand-crafted items since 1996 and wanted to offer her beautiful items to the public. You will find many interesting and unique gift items in the shop, many that are sold there exclusively.
The Home
The Southard House is a historic home was designed and built in 1912 by George Franklin Southard and his wife Lilla Hughes Southard. Following the Southard's deaths the historic structure became home to several families and numerous children, some of whom still live and work in Enid. By the mid-1990s the house had fallen into disrepair and was left empty, deteriorating rapidly.
In 1998 the home was saved by Marty Tydings, who recognized the home's historical significance and potential. Over the course of several years Marty undertook a complete restoration of the home, with loving attention to the quality and historical accuracy of every detail.
In June of 2012, the Neal's, immediately fell in love with the house, the Southard family, and the role the Southards and their grand home have played over the years in the development and continued growth of Enid. Over the next year they completed preparations to open Southard House Bed & Breakfast as the finest lodging experience in northwest Oklahoma.
Because James and Tammy have utilized the skills, gifts, and abilities they possess together, the Southard House Bed and Breakfast Inn has become the most luxurious overnight accommodations available in Northwest Oklahoma. The innkeepers hope you will pay them a visit and see for yourself!
