WAUKOMIS, OK — Former Sooner women’s basketball coach and Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Sherri Coale will speak on “Building a Winning Culture” Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Waukomis Community Church, 221 N. Main. Coaches and athletes are especially encouraged to attend.
Coale served at Sooner women’s basketball coach for 25 years, and was inducted into the national Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. She also was an inductee into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame and Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame.
Coale coached the Sooners to a national title, three Final Four appearances, six Big 12 titles and had four All Americans and 14 All-Big 12 players on her teams.
There will be a fellowship coffee and doughnuts at 10 a.m., Coale will speak at the 10:45 a.m. worship service, and a pot luck lunch will take place at noon. Everyone is invited to take photos with the former coach.
