Tuesday, December 17th, 1946 - Sunday, November 8th, 2020
A Graveside service for Sharon Kay (Rork) (Jones) Koehn age 73 of Lahoma will be 10 am Monday, November 16, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Sharon was born on Tuesday, December 17, 1946 in Oakland, CA to Kenneth Lee Rork, “Bobo”, and Jessie Mae (Glor), “Granny”, and left this Earth per God’s plan for her on Sunday, November 8, 2020 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She endured, battled, and won many life-threatening illnesses for the last several years, but she couldn’t overcome the COVID-19 symptoms during the last week of her life. Sharon was blessed with a beautiful soul and was a loving Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, friend, but most importantly she was “Momo” to her family and every person she ever met. She never lost her faith during her battles and always believed that “Even IF” God didn’t heal her, her hope is God alone, and it is well with her soul. He was always her Rock and strength to face every setback life threw at her.
In 1947, Granny, Bobo, and Sharon moved to Carrier, OK where she grew up on a farm with her four siblings. Sharon attended all 12 years at Carrier School and graduated in 1964. After graduating from high school, she married Billy Dan Jones and she gave birth to her two children Brian Dan Jones and Cathy Jo (Jones) Eide. She worked at a variety of jobs for many years, such as a waitress, butcher shop, Evans Drug Downtown, Enid State School, Lahoma Coop, K-Mart, Chesterfield Cylinder Company as a Quality Control Inspector, until she was approached by Billy Sims the Lahoma Coop manager where he stated he needed her to return to be his office manager, and she found her niche, as she worked there 34 years until her retirement. You will not find a farmer, another bookkeeper or office manager in this area that didn’t know her and her importance to the Lahoma Farmers Coop.
Sharon attended the United Church of Lahoma, where she served on the Church Board and the Women’s Circle as their Secretary and Treasurer; she was an Awana Leader, as well as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Brownie Leader in the community. She also attended Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church, was a member of the Domino Girl’s, and “The Golden Girls” girlfriends. Sharon was very active in her children’s lives through her attendance and support but as the driving force behind all of their endeavors with her encouraging words of wisdom, love, and compassion. Sharon met the LOVE of her life at the top of the escalator at Evans Drug, Loren Dale Koehn; they were married August 9, 1974 and were Soul Mates. He took in her two children as his own and raised them as their dad. He is the man who doted on and cared for Sharon, as well as her mother Jessie for the remainder of their lives together and is always there for his two children and their families as Dad and Popo.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Kenneth Lee Rork, and father and mother in law Abe and Elizabeth Koehn, and her baby brother Steve Rork. Her mother Jessie Rork, Granny, joined her in Heaven two days later, as they were inseparable the last years of their lives.
