ENID, OK - On June 28-30, Gaslight Theatre will be presenting A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Government Springs Park North for the 25th annual “Shakespeare in the Park” performance. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some fresh air and see a free performance by the Gaslight Theatre company.

Directed by Bailey Wilson and Alex Johnson, this play relates the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to Hippolyta, the former queen of the Amazons. These include the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set. The play is one of Shakespeare's most popular works for the stage and is widely performed across the world.

The shows will begin at 8:00 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There is no cost to enjoy the show!

The public is welcome and encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks to the performance.
