During the morning of May 7, 2016, Santoi passed away peacefully as a result of complications from a childhood accident. During his final hours he was comforted by his mother, and attended to by the familiar and caring staff members of Summers Living Center in Okeene Ok. Santoi was 27 years old.
Santoi Freelove-Wilkerson was born in the town of Okeene Oklahoma on February 20, 1989 to Carlena A. Freelove and Marquis D. Wilkerson. As a child, Santoi had the ability to light up the room with just his smile. He enjoyed life to the fullest and loved his root beer to drink. He was the biggest fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, airplanes and enjoyed hanging out with his Papa Terry.
Santoi was proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather Gary Freelove, his maternal grandmother Vickie (McDowell) Otwell and his paternal grandmother Martha Watkins.
Santoi is survived by his mother Carlena Freelove-Otwell and husband Larry, his father Marquis Wilkerson and wife Shawn, brother Marquis Jr. and Nathan, sisters Apiffany, Alexis and Kayla. He also had a loving relationship with his soul sister Kevra, along with several Aunts, Uncles, nieces and cousins.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all of the caregivers and facilities that Santoi has been associated with throughout the years.
