Funeral service for Ruthie Ging, 76 of Enid, will be Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:30 pm in Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Burial for family will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Ruthie was born January 25, 1948 in Enid to Elmer Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Reid) Kent and passed away January 13, 2025 in Enid.
She grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. On June 12, 1966, Ruthie married Billy Joe Ging, and they made their home in Enid. She worked for several years as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell. Ruthie worked for many years at Garfield County Election Board before her retirement.
Ruthie was a longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene before joining Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; parents; brothers, Bud, Bruce and Lee; sisters, Cap, Joy, Bonnie and Linda.
She is survived by three sons and their wives, Todd and DeLisa Ging, David and Darlene Ging and Jason and Darla Ging; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Evie Reim; and other relatives.
