Ruby Lennett (Dierksen) Hessel died Sunday, December 25, 2016 in Enid, Oklahoma at the age of 85.
Ruby Lennett Dierksen was born at home on January 30, 1931, one mile west of Billings, Oklahoma to Emiel Ervin and Mary (Smat) Dierksen. She grew up attending Billings Public Schools until the family moved to Drummond. Her junior and senior years of high school were at Ames High School, graduating in 1948. She married Wesley Dee Hessel on July 2, 1950, in Enid. They established their home in Enid.
She is survived by her husband Wesley; daughters Helen and husband Gale, Sharon and husband Lee; sons, Raymond and wife Susan, Gary and wife Kathy, Marvin and wife RaDonna; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; many loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother and a grandson.
A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28th at Anderson and Burris Funeral Home.
