ENID, Okla. - Enid has a well kept secret that soon will be known to everyone. It's an amazing little business tucked away in the Indian Hills Shopping Center. You may have heard the name and wondered, "What the heck?" Rowdy Stickhorse is an all natural market and apothecary.
-
The Rink families own the unique store and live on small family farms outside of Covington, Oklahoma. Rowdy Stickhorse is a small, family based business that began with goats’ milk creams that eventually expanded into soaps and then holistic medicine. As the demand for natural products began to grow, Paulette Rink become certified in clinical aromatherapy, clinical herbalism, and eventually holistic nutrition and holistic animal and land management.
-
The Rinks now have their own Heritage Certified Naturally Grown meats, eggs and honey. They have been Certified Naturally Grown for over 10 years. Rink says it was easy for them to become certified because they were living the lifestyle before sustainable organic farming was cool. Thus, Rowdy Stickhorse was born!

All of their products are truly hand crafted in a converted barn right on the farm. Specializing in holistic herbal goats’ milk body care products they make everything from scratch with 100% pure and organic ingredients not bulk bases.
-
Their farm animals are all free range. They use a rotational grazing system. They do not use any pesticides or chemicals, nor do they use any hormones or antibiotics. They don't use anything they would not give themselves. They raise all of their animals from incubation to slaughter. They even have their own bees! Ask Paulette about allergies and bee honey, she'll give you the "real" scoop.
-
When you visit the store you'll be pleasantly surprised by the great variety of natural and organic products they carry, most exclusive to their store. How did they come up with a name like Rowdy Stickhorse? It was a family joke that stuck. Low and behold the customers always say it makes them smile when they say Rowdy Stickhorse. So they decided, why change a good thing.
