Memorial Services for Rose Marie Reimer-Unruh, 85, of Enid, will be Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Mennonite Church. Pastor Richard Stevens will officiate. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Rose was born on January 7th, 1931 in Medford, Oklahoma to J.M. and Marie (Bergen) Reimer, and passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Enid. Rose married her high school sweetheart Norman (Shorty) Unruh, on March 4, 1951 in Medford. They made their home in Enid.
She was a wonderful homemaker and devoted her life fully to her husband and children. Rose was a blessing to her family and a strong woman of faith. She was a long time member of Grace Mennonite Church where she participated in Women in Missions and enjoyed the weekly Ladies Aide meetings. She was a participant in the Oklahoma Bible Academy auxiliary and also enjoyed volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital for many years. She spent much of her time as a "parts chaser" for her husband who ran Unruh's Automotive Repair Shop. She enjoyed spending time with her family, family vacations and time spent with her beloved "Shorty".
She is survived by two sons, Randy Unruh and wife Carolyn of Eureka Springs, AR, Rocky Unruh and wife Lorene of Enid, two daughters, Sheri Campos and husband Frank of Corpus Christi, TX, Lori Nichols and husband Tom of Enid; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one brother, Virgil Reimer of Medford. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Shorty, her parents and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made through the funeral home to the skilled nursing unit at Golden Oaks Retirement Village.
