Mass of Christian Burial for Rosa M. Patocka, age 82, of Enid, will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev Joseph Irwin and Rev. Aaron Foshee as celebrant. Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday evening, January 17 at 7:00 p.m., followed by visitation at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Rosa was born to William and Rhoda (May) Rolison on May 31, 1934, in Clinton, Oklahoma, and passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Enid.
Rosa grew up in the Clinton area, graduated from Clinton High School, and attended SWOSU in Weatherford. On October 11, 1955, she married Willard Patocka in Hennessey. She worked at First National Bank in Hennessey, Burger Chef, St. Joseph School Cafeteria, Enid High Cafeteria, Mode O Day, St. Francis Our Lady of Lourdes Bookstore manager. Rosa was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, member of the Altar Society, where she served as president, Regent of Catholic Daughters, Knights of Columbus Auxillary Charter member, and was the first president, Adorer of the Precious Blood, and took care of the Altar Linens for many years. She helped with PTA, Boy Scouts, and was Camp Fire Leader.
Rosa is survived by her husband Willard; children Phil Patocka, Tim Patocka, and Pam Wegmiller (Brad) all of Enid; 6 grandchildren Lisa Deluco (Joe), Tony Patocka, Max Spoonemore, Ashley Otto (Chris), Tyler Patocka, Jennifer Williams (Tyler); 12 great grandchildren Myakayla, Drake, Chesnie, Rowdy, Rocco, Nicco, Gianna, Joey, Gabriel, Madison, Aubrey, and Miller; sister Billie Lax of Clinton; nephew A.J. Thomas of El Reno; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters Beatrice Thomas, Kathryne Province, and Mary Ellen Bates; niece, Auda Marie Thomas.
