Ronald Joe Smith, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital, in Enid, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be scheduled for a future date. Cremation arrangements are under the guidance of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Joe was born September 16, 1959 in Waco, Texas to Phillip and Betty (Daniels) Smith. The family moved Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1974, where he eventually graduated from Earlsboro High School. He then attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned an Associates Degree in Business. Throughout his life, Joe had many occupations, but the thing he enjoyed most was driving a truck for Bruenger Trucking out of Wichita, Kansas. He always liked to say that he had visited all 50 of the states. Joe was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboys football fan. Just last year, he was able to fulfill his dream of seeing a Dallas Cowboys game at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Joe is survived by his wife Felicia Smith; six children; Stephanie and Shawn; Justin, Mark, Willie, and Malaki; two grandchildren, Athena and Junior; a brother, Norman Smith; his Aunt Evelyn; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; brother, Jerry Smith and sister, Phyllis Smith.
Memorial contributions in Joe’s name may be made to the Salvation Army with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
