Celebration of life service for Ronald Alfred Taylor, 85, of Enid, will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home with Dr. James Taylor, Pastor Dan Barrick and Chaplain Drew Drawbridge officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Ron was born May 24, 1935 in Big Stick, West Virginia to James Alfred and Vestine (Word) Taylor and passed away at his home in Enid on January 15, 2021.
Ron graduated from Straton High School, and then he served in the United States Air Force. On June 3, 1955 Ron married the love of his life Shirley McCray in Charleston, South Carolina. Ron worked at Vance Air Force Base with the flight simulator division before his retirement. He was a member of Enid First Assembly of God Church.
Ron is survived by his wife Shirley; son Dr. James Taylor of Norman; daughter Sharon Miner of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and his sister Cleo Taylor.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and two sons Ronald Alfred Taylor, Jr., and Jack Dewayne Taylor.
