After a long battle with illness, Roberta passed away Monday, July 29th, in Kiowa, Kansas. Roberta was 67 years old at the time of her passing.

She was a beloved wife, mother, Mema, and sister. Roberta was born September 2, 1951, to Anne and Jesse Lee Burdick of Enid, OK. She is the mom of three daughters and one son, preceded in death. Roberta married William Hughes, October 10, 1974. She spent most of her life in Enid as a homemaker. Roberta has followed her mother, father, and brother, Ivan, in death.

She leaves behind a caring husband, William “Bill” Hughes, her eldest daughter, Stephine Hill and son-in-law Steve Hill, her middle daughter Carrie Vega-Hughes, and her youngest daughter, Jennifer Hughes. Roberta has five grandchildren and two granddaughters'-in-laws. From oldest to youngest: Steven Hill Jr. , Brandon Hill, Crisitan Vega-Hughes, Carlos Vega-Hughes, and William Wayne Hughes. The granddaughters’-in-laws are Mechaela Hill and Ciara Hill. Roberta also has six great-grandchildren: Araela Hill, Steven Hill III, Kimberly Hill, Charles Hill, Jason Hill, and one on the way.
