Robert Neal Claborn

August 19, 1949 - April 27, 2024

Funeral service for Robert Claborn will be Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 am in Grace Mennonite Church with Ted Boulds and Mike Sommerfeld officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the funeral home.

Robert Neal Claborn, of Enid, passed suddenly in his home on April 27, 2024. He was born to James Neal Claborn and Zella Mae (Roberson) Claborn, on August 19, 1949, in Oklahoma City.

In 1979, he married Becky Lewis in Harrisburg, Illinois. He and Becky had two sons, Preston Neal and Baret Lewis. Robert attended Putnam City Schools and graduated from University of Central Oklahoma with a BA in Business Administration. He worked as a landman for Kerr McGee, and later as the manager of Memorial Park Cemetery. Robert loved socializing and was active in Noon AMBUCS, men’s coffee group and his Thursday Bible Study. Robert was also a member of First Baptist of Enid. He was a popular soccer coach.

Robert was preceded in death by son, Preston; parents; brother, Phillip; and in-laws, David and Oma Lee Lewis.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Claborn; son, Baret Claborn and fiancée, Estefania Vasquez; daughter-in-law, Kayleigh Claborn; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Claborn, Cindy (Ted) Boulds; brothers-in-law, Greg (Janet) Lewis, and Steve (Christi) Lewis; many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Oklahoma Bible Academy.
