April 10, 1946 - October 24, 2023
Bob was born in Enid, OK on April 10, 1946 to Robert "Dale " and Evelyn Miller, and was called home by our Lord on October 24 ,2023. He was baptized as a child in the First Christian Church in Garber. After graduating from Garber High School in 1964, Bob graduated as a radiology technician from St. Anthonys in OKC. He then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. He served as a forward observer in Vietnam 1966-1968. After he returned stateside, he earned his degree of Science in Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University in May 1972. Bob worked from the age of 10 as a newspaper boy, grave digger, and hay hauler in his youth. He worked in high rise construction building all across the U.S.
He met Kathy Kroll while finishing college. They married Aug. 30, 1969 in Garber. To this union, they were blessed with four children Jodi, Nancy, Kyle and Todd. They raised the kids in Dallas until he left the construction industry. Bob and Kathy then worked side by side farming until his health forced him out of the field. One of Bob's mottos is "Make a plan, work a plan."
Bob thoroughly enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play. He even instigated some shenanigans himself, laughing as they played out.
Bob was greeted in heaven by his parents, his sister Julie Shaw, brothers Jim and David Miller, brother-in-law Rudy Kroll, in-laws Elmer and Christine, and his precious daughter Nancy Miller.
Loved ones left behind are his wife Kathy, daughter Jodi (Philip) Sadler, sons Kyle (Trinity) Miller, and Todd Miller. His grandchildren: Dillon Wedel, Ryan Sadler, Megan Miller, Jenna Sadler, Paige Miller, Hopkins and Cooper Miller. Great grandchildren; Brycen Vines, Hadleigh and Walker Wedel. Brother-in-law Harold Shaw and Sister-in-law Rayma Miller and a host of nephews and nieces. And last but certainly not least his dog Taffy.
Memorial service for Bob Miller will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Hein officiating. Bob has requested boot and jeans attire.
Even though he chose cremation, he requests his sons and grandsons as honorary pallbearers. He also chose to honor John and Glen Carson, John Oldham, Bruce Bradshaw and posthumously Mike Blaser, his lifelong friends.
If you choose to remember his life with a donation, he asked to consider the USMC Toys for Tots, Accentra Home Heath or Immanuel Lutheran Church of Garber.
