Wednesday, November 16th, 1960 - Thursday, September 24th, 2020
A Celebration of Life for Rick Dupus, age 59 years, of Oklahoma City, formerly Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Cremation and services arranged by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Rick was born November 16, 1960 in Enid to Carl and Yuvonna (Kelley) Dupus, and passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Rick attended Enid High School. He started his career at Craun Construction Company. He then went on to become a Project Superintendent at D.C. Bass Construction in Enid before moving to Oklahoma City and working as a Project Superintendent for W.S. Bowlware. He last worked as Project Superintendent at Hixon Construction Company until his passing. He married Lisa Hixon in July of 1982, and they had one daughter, Linzy. Rick was very family oriented and loved spending time with his daughter, grandsons, and sister, Lynn and her family. You will never meet a bigger (and louder) OU fan than Rick. You could never find a person with a bigger heart. He was very hands on and a kid at heart, always involved with his daughter, grandsons, niece and nephews. He will be truly missed.
Rick is preceded in death by his mother, Yuvonna Craun and step-father, Richard Craun. He is survived by his daughter, Linzy Cook and husband Adam, of Dallas, TX; two grandsons, Conor and Camden; and his beloved “granddog” Bella; his father, Carl Dupus and wife Harriett, of Enid; two sisters, Lynn Lovern and husband Sam, of Enid; Lynn’s children, Tyler, Emily and Tanner; Denise Nurnberg and her sons, Trevin and Brennan, of Enid; three half-brothers, Cliff, Dusty and Jason Dupus; two step-siblings, Katrina Springer and Scott Winburn, as well as several other nieces and nephews and companion, Tammy Waller.
The family requests that everyone in attendance wear OU apparel or red and white, and masks are requested and will be provided.
