A memorial service for Richard Timmons, age 76, of Enid, will be 11:00 AM, Friday, February 24, 2017 at Enid First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dan Barrick officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Richard was born February 15, 1941, in North Miami, Oklahoma, to Otto Nathan and Julia Jean (Johnson) Timmons, and passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at his home in Enid.
Richard served during the Korean War in the United States Army. On December 3, 1999 he married Phyllis Goertzen-Ross in Miami. They moved to Enid in 2009. He was a mechanic and truck driver. Richard enjoyed hunting, was a member of the Tri-State Bow Hunters, he loved racing motorcycles, spending time at the lake on his boat, and was a Garfield County wood turner. He was a member of Enid First Assembly of God Church, where he was an active part of Primetimers.
Richard is survived by his wife Phyllis; children Terri Barnes (Steve) of Miami, Ok, Dawn Victor (Jay) of Afton, Becky Stowers (Jack), Cheryl Killam, all of Enid, LaDonna Lesikar (Steve) of Texas, and Debbie Fouble of Covington; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister Vicki Sajwaj (George) of Kansas City ; and brother Lewis VanBebber of Miami.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
