ENID, OK - It takes the whole community to build robust talent pipelines and boost economic development throughout the state of Oklahoma. Work-based learning programs can help address business demand for skilled talent and prepare Oklahoma workers with the tools they need to succeed in our current and future economy.

This spring, the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development is partnering with the Oklahoma City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City to host four Regional Work-Based Learning “Lunch & Learns” throughout the state of Oklahoma to explore work-based learning as a key tool for workforce development and the importance of community partnerships to growing local talent and reducing the skills gap.

All Oklahoma regional education partners, non-profits, workforce system partners, industry association and business leaders, economic development representatives, and local employers are invited to attend and participate in this local talent pipeline conversation.

There will be a Work-Based Learning Lunch & Learn in the Western Oklahoma Region on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 12 PM – 2 PM. This event is open to the public and is hosted by Oklahoma Works. The program will take pace at Autry Technology Center, 1201 West Willow Road, Room 115, Enid, Oklahoma 73703.
